I'm seeing the Jonas Brothers live this summer...TWICE!

Haha, yes...while all of my HP besties are having the time of their lives at Azkatraz, I'll be going to a couple Jonas concerts to ease the pain. I was only supposed to go to one, but this morning I was looking on eBay at tickets for the other concert and I found some for a reasonable price.

So I bought them! I'm in such debt with my mom though. I need a job. =/

So anyways, I'll be at the Winnipeg, Manitoba concert on July 5th with 7th row seats and at the Minneapolis concert on July 8th with 8th row seats. Seriously, don't even ask how I got those seats...I'm so lucky.

So yeah! Prom is in less than a month. Is it weird that I'm totally not excited? Everyone else in my grade is all excited but all I can think about is how much money I'm spending and how stupid it's gonna be. I dunno...I can be such a pessimist sometimes. *sigh* At least my date's paying for a lot of it. He offered to pay for the limo and dinner, which will be the most expensive things of the night. I'm buying the tickets and pictures. =)

I think that's all for now because my life is boring. How long 'til graduation?

I take the ACT next weekend. =/ I need to do really well in order to keep my hopes of going to DePaul University alive.

I know. I'm sorry. I totally fail at updating my LJ lately. But I promise I'll try updating regularly again. I miss you guys too much. <3

I couldn't even begin to tell you all the things that have happened in my life lately. It's been one crazy ride this year. Maybe in my next post, I'll try to update you guys on everything if you're interested.

I will get through this. I will fight through the pain he causes me every day. I am ashamed to have his DNA pulsing through my veins. I will go to college and I will succeed in whatever I choose to do, if only to prove him wrong and to remind him that I don't need him. I will borrow as much money as it takes but I will not accept a penny from him.

He is not my father.

He is some strange man who sleeps in my mother's house, who yells at me day to day, who reminds me of every cent I borrow from him for school expenses. He is someone who makes my mother & I cry daily.

He is nothing to me.

But I won't hate. Hate is a wasted emotion.

Andy told me to update my journal. So here I am, updating my journal. =D!

So, yes. Thanksgiving was quite good. I just got done eating a leftover turkey sandwich. =) Delish.

As of late, I've been having a lot of boy problems. This guy named Ross started like hitting on me and saying he liked me a lot. He visited me at work and I was having a really bad day so he like hugged me and it was amazing. <33 But the other night, I went on his Facebook and he had asked another girl on a date (she said no). So I messaged him and I was like "If you're not interested in me, go ahead and go for the other girls. But don't expect me to be the girl on the side." And he called me like eight times that night, but I didn't answer. So, today, I finally called him back and I was like "Y'know, I really don't care if you wanna be with other girls, but don't expect me to be here later." And he was like "I'm so sorry. That girl is like crazy and I was just trying to get her off of my back." I know, pretty ridic. But I'm giving him a second chance. =/ We have a date next Friday, I believe.

In other news, I got two of my closest friends together!!! Her name is Ashley and his is James and Ashley has liked James for like EVER so the other day I texted him and told him. And he was like "Really? I like her too!" Hahaha. Long story short, they have a date next Friday too. You can call me the matchmaker, please. =)

I have to work today. Bum-tastic.

I don't know what else to say...

Oh yeah!! There's this life-style magazine written in Grand Forks and they're hiring teen writers!! I'm so pumped. I have to write an essay saying why I want to be a writer and what subjects are my favorite. *squee* I hope I get it! AND I'd get paid for being published! Like, wow!!! Hahaha. I loveeeeeeee it.

Okay. I seriously cannot get anything right. Like, wtf?

Lately, my best friend keeps getting mad at me. For seemingly no reason. But she always gets over it and pretends everything's okay. But...lately, she's been dating (which is a polite word for it. More like fucking) a twenty year old guy. I've been sworn to secrecy obviously, but today in history, she was talking about her ex-bf to guys we never hang out with. While she was talking to them, she mentioned her first time with her ex-boyfriend. So I turned around and was like "You told them?!?" and she didn't say anything but continued to talk about it as if it were nothing. I got home tonight and was on Facebook, so I started a chat with her and told her to have fun at the fair she's going to. She wouldn't say anything. After a while, she was like...I can't believe you told (the boys in our history class) that I had sex with him.

I know.

And I was like "WTF!! I didn't tell them anything. You were the one talking about it with them during history." and she was like "I don't care. They had to know somehow. Obviously, you told them." So now, I'm basically just dumbfounded at the accusations she's throwing at me so I said "Y'know what. Why don't we just stop talking for a while. You obviously don't need me in your life because I 'cause so many problems' for you. But if you keep up like this, you won't have many friends left."

Am I wrong in this? I just want the accusations to stop. It's getting incredibly annoying and I don't think I should be under scrutiny by a supposed best friend. -sigh-

Yesterday was possibly the worst day I've had in a long time. In the morning, I was talking to Sam (the perfect one that lives so far away) and I told him that I had a crush on him. He texted me back and said, "I'm so flattered. I like you, too, but I don't think we can be in a relationship." Well, obviously I knew that a relationship between he & I would never work out, but I still had a bit of hope, you know?

And then (apparently I was feeling honest yesterday), I asked one of my guy friends to tell the other guy I was crushin' on that I had a crush on him. He told me that he likes me "just as friends." WTF?!?! Am I seriously that repulsive? Like, do guys shudder when they look at me? The few boyfriends that I've ever had were really horrible and I just want a guy that will treat me well. But, apparently, guys don't want relationships. They just want to sit at home and play video games.

I met this seemingly perfect boy at NHS State Convention. At the time, I didn't really think much of him but after I'd added him on Facebook, exchanged wall posts, and texted non-stop, I like him. A lot.

And...the boy in my class that actually doesn't live a kajillion miles away hasn't shown interest in me since Homecoming, where he sang "Fall For You" to me while we danced. Ugh. Guys = such teases.

So. I'm really, really sorry I haven't updated with an actual update lately. I've just been really busy and all this junk at school is literally taking up all my time.

School's only been going on for roughly three weeks and already I'm swamped with homework and activities.
History: My first history test went great...65/65. But then I just got my second one back and I got like a 67/81. Yikes! Guess I should have got the notes that I missed when I was sick.
Chemistry: My first Chem test went better than I thought I did. I got an 85, which is way better than the 70 I predicted.
English: English is going wonderfully. That's the one class that always clicks with me.
Senior Math: Ughhh. You see, I feel like I 'get' everything while doing the homework and then I get to the quizzes and I just blank out. It pisses me off enormously.
Spanish II: I'm not even gonna talk about that. Okay, yes I am. I HATE MY TEACHER, OMFG!!!!! I've managed to get B's on the first two tests while doing my own notes and getting no help from the teacher because she is an effing BITCH! -sigh- Sorry. xD
Choir: I love it. One of my favorite classes. I'm working on a solo right now that I plan to perform at state music, which should be pretty fun!

Besides that, NHS began and I've decided to run for Class B State representative at the state convention. -isveryscaredandwillprobablyfaint whilegivingherspeech- So yup, that's taking up a lot of time. We have to make a video and incorporate our tag line, which is "Vote For Katie. She's the Total Package!" lol. We're gonna put me in a box wrapped in wrapping paper and my friends are gonna be like "I want someone responsible for Christmas. But someone fun too! And definitely someone who works hard!" and then I'm gonna pop up when they open it and they're gonna be like "YES!! I got Katie!! She's the total package!!" Bahahaha. Oh dear.

FCCLA started as well and I'm running for Vice President in that. SADD also started, but I'm not running for anything in that, thank the Lord. I'm gonna need some free time, right?

I don't think there's much else involved with school. I'm having a great time with my friends now. God seriously blessed me. I've got amazing irl friends and amazing internet friends. I can talk to any of them about absolutely anything and it makes me so very happy. So THANK YOU!!

It's also homecoming week this week. We had Punk Rock Day today, so that was pretty fun. The game's on Friday and it's going to be pretty sweet. I'm wearing the jersey of a guy in my Senior Math class. He's a nerd like me and it's pretty much awesome. xD

Ugh. I am so tired. This first week just seems to be dragging on and on. And to top it off, I didn't have internet for the first few days of school, so I couldn't talk to my HP friends. =(

My final schedule:

* I don't think they should let dumb people like me take Senior math when I'm a Junior. Math...just isn't my forte. I'm keeping up but just barely. When everyone else doesn't have math homework, I'm taking my worksheets home and trying to figure out what everyone else automatically gets. Math is probably the only class that I feel really dumb in. =(

** Yes! I actually got my second year of Spanish. I fought for it and now I'm taking it. But...the thing is...wait for it. I'm taking it with the Spanish I class. So while the teacher is teaching them stuff that I learned last year, I'm trying to do my Spanish assignments while they're blabbing on. No notes, no help from the teacher. It's all on my shoulders. Fuck.

Hopefully things will go okay. I'm shooting for a 3.6 GPA this year. =S

Omg. And I'd also forgotten that I was elected president of the class, therefore I have to be the head planner for the prom. Meaning getting everyone to participate in the fundraisers and I have to participate as well. I don't wanna sell MAGAZINES!! Grr. Speaking of which...I'm going to whore my magazine sales right now. If ANYONE would like to order a magazine subscription, I would be more than happy to provide! I'm selling everything from Seventeen to ESPN. And! Cheez whiz. I have the NHS State convention coming up. Which allows me to miss an entire day of school! YES! xD Besides that, we have to figure out if the FCCLA and SADD clubs will continue in the school because we lost the teachers that were our advisors.

I don't even wanna think of anything else. Busy year, I guess. But I can't wait for summer because I'm going to be seeing (hopefully) all of you at either Leaky Con or Azkatraz. I'm hoping I get to go to both!! =D
